Willy Raimund

Austrian Federal Environmental Agency

Willy Raimund is Senior Expert Transport in the Environment Agency Austria. He is working on sustainability, climate protection and energy efficiency in transport on regional, national and international level. Changing travel behavior (caused by technological and social innovations), mobility management, active mobility and electro-mobility are his core topics. 

Raimund holds a master degree in Landscape Planning and Design from the Vienna based University of Applied Life Sciences, spent a term abroad at the Landbouwuniversiteit Wageningen/ NL and did a Fellowship „Transport & Environment“ in the US.

He is a lecturer for mobility concepts at the Vienna based University of Applied Sciences. Raimund is certified energy auditor for transport according the Austrian Energy Efficiency Act.

Raimund has 20+ years experience in the field of transport, energy efficiency and climate protection, among other things as Head of Transport Division (Austrian Energy Agency), as coordinator of klimaaktiv mobil, the Austrian National climate protection initiative in transport. He also was Austrian EPOMM national focal point from 2008 to 2019.
