Bernd Buthe


Dr. Bernd Buthe is a senior civil servant, working as a research project manager at the German Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR). After studying economics at the University of Münster, he initially worked as a management consultant in the transport sector. At the BBSR, he is responsible for research projects related to mobility, transportation and critical infrastructure. His further fields of research are regional transportation data mining, big data, freight transport and the German Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan.
